Meetings & NoticesNotice of Public Hearing on Proposed 5 Year Capital Improvement Program STATE OF WISCONSIN NOTICE OF HEARING Notice is hereby given by the supervisors of the Town of Freedom, Outagamie County, Wisconsin, that the Town Board will present and preview the proposed 5 Year Capital Improvement Plan for the Town of Freedom. A copy of the plan can be reviewed at the Town Clerk's Office located in the Town Hall, W2004 County S, Freedom, WI. Comments can be made by mail or in person at the hearing on March 24, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. at the Freedom Town Hall, W2004 County S, Freedom, WI 54131

NoticesAssessmentsBowmar Appraisal, Inc. is the Town Assessor. They can be reached at (920) 733-5369. Bowmar will be conducting a a revaluation of the entire Town during 2007. Board MeetingsThe Town Board meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. You are always welcome to attend. Contact the Clerk if you would like to be on the agenda for either meeting. Building PermitsBuilding Permits are required in the Town of Freedom. Contact Building Inspector Paul Hermes at (920) 687-0426 or 858-0102for further information concerning permits. Dog LicensingDog licenses are$10.00 if spayed or neutered and $15.00 for not-spayed and not neutered. Dogs must be licensed at the age of six months. Registration after March 31st will be charged a late fee. Licenses may be purchased at the Town Hall during office hours. Garbage CollectionThe Town's garbage contractor is Wittenberg Disposal. Pick up dates will remain the same but the time of pick up will change. Please have your garbage by the road by 6:00 a.m. For large item pick up call 1-888-804-8556. Recycling is picked up by Wittenberg the same day as your garbage. ParkingParking is prohibited on town streets during the winter months from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and in town parking lots from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. Plan CommissionThe Plan Commission meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. for any questions on zoning or land splits. Please contact the Clerk if you would like to be on the agenda for the meeting. The public is welcome to attend. VotingVoting takes place at the Freedom Town Hall on County Hwy. S. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Registration is required. Voters may register early by contacting the Town Clerk or by registering on Election Day. An absentee ballot may be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk at (920) 788-4548. Town RoadsAnyone noticing a road problem or a down road sign should call the Freedom Town Hall at (920) 788-4548. |
