CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL

Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. Board members present: Gary Van Hoof, Tim Maass, Robert Valentine, Robert Schuh and Dean Sitar. Also present: Clerk Barb Seegers, Adm Asst Colleen Laha and Brad Viegut of Baird.

VERIFICATION OF POSTING/APPROVE AGENDA

NOTICE POSTED MARCH 14, 2007 AT 11:00 A.M. AT THE FREEDOM TOWN HALL, DAIRYLAND DEPOT, FREEDOM FOODS, FREEDOM CAR SALES AND FREEDOM MINIMART

Motion by Schuh/Valentine to adopt agenda as posted. 5 Yes 0 No MC

BRAD VIEGUT – BAIRD BONDING

Viegut presented board with information on new bond schedule and rates. This long term bond will refund the borrowing done in November, 2006 with a better rate. Town now has a S&P bond rating of “A”. He explained that this will help us to get better interest rates. Standards & Poors worked with Viegut and Town Clerk to review records and policies before granting the “A” rating.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF $5,140,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS

Motion by Schuh/Valentine to approve resolution #07-03 authorizing the Issuance and Sale of $5,140,000 of General Obligation Refunding Bonds. 5 Yes 0 No MC Interest rates on the bonds will be 4%.
